According to USA Today, pop singer Lauren Hildebrandt is taking a stand against bedbugs after recently checking out of a Union Square area luxury hotel with bites, bites and more bites. Though she's not naming the hotel she stayed in, Hotel Chatter is surmising it's either The W Hotel or The Gramercy Park Hotel. As I just booked two nights at the latter for my wedding yesterday, I'm really, really hoping it's not the GPH, especially since bed bugs are one of my biggest fears

Essentially, the handy travel (or everyday) accessory is a strong but tiny hook you can use to hang your bag from most tables and bars. After use, it folds up into a little compartment and purse that you can slip back into your bag. And it only costs $35.

As mentioned, we think the price tag is worth it. Why? While it seems the little device was designed for ladies to keep fancy handbags off dirty floors, we think it's actually invaluable as an anti-theft device.
