Give a Day, Get a Night: Sage Hotels Reward Those Who Do Community Service

Because we had such an awesome response when we ran our blood drive last month, we have a feeling that lots of our readers are do-gooders. So we're posting about a pretty nifty promotion that we just discovered.

Essentially, if you've performed a day of community service (or 8 hours in aggregate) for a licensed nonprofit, you've earned yourself a free night at one of the Sage brand's hotels, which include such veritable properties as The Nines (pictured), our splurge pick for where to stay in Portland, OR.

See below for more details. And if you haven't done any community service lately, why not get cracking? You have until March 31st, 2010 to earn your room.

I know! The best hotel really is The Nines. Otherwise, the pickings are kind of slim. Still, I love that the brand is encouraging community service. If you and your tripmate both do 8 hours together, you can get certificates for a night each – meaning you can have a weekend getaway for free!
